Our Doctors

Dr. TomDr. Tom Frankmann is originally from Lyndhurst. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Miami University in 1993. In 1997 he received his Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he was elected to the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honorary Society his senior year. Dr. Tom has worked to enhance his special interests in surgery and dentistry, behavioral consultations, and specialized senior pet care.

Dr. Wendy Frankmann, also from Lyndhurst, graduated in 1993 from John Carroll University with Dr. Wendya Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Sociology. Since graduating with her Doctorate from The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997, Dr. Wendy has worked to create a balance between her love and compassion for animals and her family. Dr. Wendy is a graduate of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association’s Leadership Academy and is her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop Leader for Lindsey Elementary School in Chesterland. Her medical interests include effective wellness care and pain management.

Drs. Tom and Wendy purchased Animal Clinic of Chardon in 2001 and turned it into a human and animal bond-centered practice complete with managerial and technical updates, focused client and staff education, and many other renovations all with the ultimate goal of providing the best care possible! Drs. Tom and Wendy moved to Geauga County shortly after purchasing the practice and now reside in Chesterland with their two children, Arden and Ryder. Their four-legged family members include Ryan, a Golden-Retriever mix, a furry feline named Guinness, and a clever cavy named PoPo. Dr. Tom has also created two beautiful fresh-water fish tanks complete with a perfect nitrogen balance! After all, a veterinarian dad must not fall short in this area!

For fun, the Frankmanns enjoy socializing, thankfully enjoying the close proximity of many family and friends. Anything nature excites them, from their back-yard to not-so-near and exotic places. Dr. Wendy enjoys cooking, reading, movies, and exercise if time permits. Dr. Tom takes to high-tech video games, reading, and simply relaxing when he is able. What is most important to them is their family—both furred and fur-less.

Dr. LynnDr. Lynn Proctor received both her Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. She has been with the Animal Clinic of Chardon since 2004. Her primary medical interest is preventive medicine. She strives to provide pet owners with the knowledge necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle for their pets including annual examinations, dental care, parasite control, and immunizations.

Dr. Lynn lives with her husband, Andrew, and their son, Rafe, in Concord, where they are surrounded by abundant wildlife. Their non-human family members include Dakota, a black German Shepherd, Jagger, a German Short Hair Pointer, Ozzy, a Seal Point Siamese, and last but not least, Bowie, a black and white cat.

Dr. Lynn and her husband enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and running with their son and dogs (Jagger and Dakota are not that helpful with fishing). They also enjoy traveling and experiencing new things, but Dr. Lynn’s priority is staying at home with her family, and loving all the experiences that brings.

Dr. JessicaDr. Jessica DeMarco is originally from Conneaut, Ohio. She graduated from Mercyhurst College in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She received her Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.

Dr. Jessica is interested in all facets of veterinary medicine especially behavior, internal medicine, and preventive medicine. She is very excited to be beginning her career at the Animal Clinic of Chardon and hopes to support the human-animal bond through care for pets and the people who love them.

Dr. Jessica lives in Richmond Heights where she resides with her boyfriend, Mark, and a furry family consisting of a Beagle-mix named Gracie, a large orange tabby cat named Jif (formerly a blood donor at OSU who saved 15 kitty lives!), a tiger cat named Jackson, and a hamster named Mia. She is happy to be back in the northeast, closer to her family. In her free time, Dr. Jessica enjoys travel, socializing with family and friends, playing piano, watching live music, working out and going to the movies. As an OSU alumni, she is also a huge Buckeye football fan! She looks forward to meeting all of the pets and people at the Animal Clinic of Chardon.
