Jodi

Jodi Cloutier, Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Jodi earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. She has been working with animals since 1998, when she took a part time position working at a veterinary clinic and kennel.

She joined the Animal Clinic of Chardon (ACOC) team in early 2002. In May 2007, she graduated from an American Veterinary Medical Association accredited program and passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination, earning her RVT degree.

Jodi was born and raised in eastern Pennsylvania, but now resides in Geneva, Ohio with her five furry kids, Lager and Cade, two black labs, and her cats, Hercules, Barry, and Mosey. She enjoys spending time with her friends and being the “aunt” that spoils the kids. She also enjoys reading, golfing, and playing with the “kids.” Jodi’s favorite part of her job is being able to help our furry companions that can’t speak for themselves.

Katie

Katie Fuller, Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Katie joined the ACOC staff in February 2009. She graduated from Stautzenberger College, an AVMA accredited school in the summer of 2009, with an associate degree in applied science. Katie passed the VTNE in January of 2010 earning her RVT degree.

Katie was born and raised in Chardon. She enjoys spending time with family. Family is the best thing in life. Of course her family includes two lovable beagles Sadie and Penny and a Chinchilla named Gus Gus.

One of Katie's favorite things about her job is assisting in surgery. She is very passionate about always learning new ways to connect with animals.




Bitsy

Bitsy Gascoigne,Veterinary Assistant
Bitsy is originally from Chardon, and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in business management. She became involved in the veterinary field in 1997 and came to work at ACOC as a veterinary nurse in 2003. Her duties include assisting with surgery, caring for the animals, and educating clients.

When she isn’t working, Bitsy enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her pets. She enjoys the outdoors and good wine. Her pets include Romeo, a Beagle; Birdie, a Hungarian Vizsla; and Lilly, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She also competes in Dressage competitions with her horse Aibrean, and together they have won many regional and local awards.

Bitsy most enjoys the interaction with the ACOC clients and their pets, and she has a special interest in animal behavior. Bitsy’s witty sense of humor and fun-loving personality keep the rest of her co-workers smiling even through the toughest of days.

Rebecca

Rebecca McClure,
Patient Care and Client Services Coordinator

Rebecca joined the ACOC staff in 2008. Recently, she has taken on a new role at ACOC of Patient Care and Client Services Coordinator. With this, she works hard to enhance our clients and their pets’ experiences while visiting our hospital. Rebecca also fills in as a veterinary assistant as well.

Her free time is spent enjoying time with her son, Logan and her dog Toby and cat PIB (Puss in Boots). Rebecca also likes outdoor gardening, sports, and art.

Rebecca says that her favorite part of working at ACOC is experiencing the human-animal bond on a daily basis. She enjoys seeing first-hand the way animals touch our lives, not only for clients, but for herself and her co-workers as well.

Teri

Terri Santoro, Veterinary Assistant
Terri has been with ACOC since 1996, in the role of veterinary nurse. She has loved and wanted to be near animals for as long as she can remember. Before joining the ACOC, she worked at a stable, a kennel, and a pet store.

Terri lives with her husband Mike and son, Rocco. They share their home with 2 dogs, 4 cats, a horse, and a donkey. In her spare time, Terri enjoys sharing her love of animals and the outdoors with her son who is also an animal lover.

Terri says that her favorite part of her job is educating clients with new puppies or kittens.

Amy

Amy Sossa, Veterinary Assistant
I
n 2009, Amy earned her Associate's Degree in Graphic Design at Virginia Marti College of Art and Design in Lakewood, Ohio. She currently does design work for the clinic, including posters, coupons, logos and more. However, her true love is working with animals. She is currently enrolled in an online Veterinary Technician program through San Juan College. Amy joined the ACOC team in November of 2011 and Dr. Jessica is mentoring her, although the whole team is very helpful.

Amy was born and raised in Kent, Ohio and has always been surrounded by a variety of animals. She has had experience caring for dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, birds, and sugar gliders. Working for the Portage County APL in 2005/2006 was the point when she realized she wanted to work with animals as a career. Since then, she has had jobs at doggie daycares, private animal care jobs, and another veterinary clinic before moving to Chardon in 2011.
Amy and her boyfriend John bought a home in August of 2011, where they enjoy the wildlife and gardening on their 5 acre property. They share their home with 3 cats, Lynk, Wednesday, and Fry. Amy enjoys camping, arts and crafts, and snowboarding in her spare time.

Amy's favorite part of working at the ACOC is making the animals feel comfortable and safe while at the clinic.

 

Sarah Stroop, Veterinary Assistant
Sarah grew up in a military family and has many wonderful memories spending time with her family at Camp Perry, Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Rickenbacker Air Force Base. She is very proud of her father and thankful to all our men and women in the armed forces and their families.

She had an opportunity to do an internship at The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, which she says was one of the best experiences of her life. Sarah completed her certificate in veterinary assisting at Lakeland Community College.

Sarah has been an animal lover for as long as she can remember. When Sarah is not at work she can be found with her dog Simon and cat Benson. She enjoys hiking, biking, photography, watching movies and spending time with her family and friends.

Sarah’s favorite part of her job is learning new things from the people around her and educating others.

Kim

Kim Vatty, Client Relations Specialist
Kim, who has been with ACOC since 1990, graduated from Lake Erie College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Her family includes her husband, Chris, and their two children Emily and Jacob. Their newest addition to the family is a yellow lab named Oliver. When Kim is not at work she enjoys outdoor activities such as horseback riding, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and also relaxing with family and friends.

Kim has loved bonding with all of the animals that come through the clinic’s doors, and watching them grow through the years.

Jessi

Jessi S, Office Manager
Jessi has been the Office Manager at ACOC since 2001 and is the “go to” person for all things concerning running the business end of the Clinic. Her attention to detail makes her well suited for this role.

Although her job doesn’t normally involve working directly with the animals, Jessi loves working in an environment where she is always surrounded by them. Occasionally she can be found working at the front desk, where she enjoys interacting with the clients of ACOC.

Jessi was born and raised in Lyndhurst, Ohio, but now resides in Willoughby with her husband Jon and daughter Gabriella and she loves her new role as a mom! She works part-time at the ACOC and is very fortunate that she can be a stay at home mom as well. When not at the Clinic, Jessi enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew. She also likes to exercise and has a special interest in health and nutrition. An animal lover her entire life, she has a special love for guinea pigs and is an expert in their husbandry. Of course, she doesn’t mind getting her fix of puppy breath, either!
