Fear, anxiety, stress (FAS) score:
Each pet will be evaluated subjectively on their level of fear, anxiety and stress. Pets exhibiting no symptoms or mild symptoms (green for go) will receive care using standard Fear Free procedures. Pets with moderate FAS symptoms (yellow pets for caution) will need to take a break while adjustments are made to lower them to a green FAS score. Pets who are exhibiting high levels of stress (red for stop,) will need a written plan in order to proceed with care. This may include pre-visit pharmaceuticals, sedation, happy visits, etc.
