Dr. Wendy Frankmann
DVM/Practice Owner/Hospital Director Favorite thing or most inspiring part of position at ACOC: From early on in my career I aspired to own and operate a veterinary hospital where patient care, customer service and team growth were exemplified. Where my team would love to show up every day to make a difference in our patients’, clients’ and each other’s lives. As a practice owner and hospital director, I’ve had the opportunity to implement these things as well as create a place that fosters growth, education, and a healthy work environment. It’s been great to be able to open our doors to students and other young adults who are interested in a career in veterinary medicine. This has always been my vision and what I continue to hold myself accountable. I love talking to about... How to build a cohesive team and why nurturing relationships is vital to our profession’s ability to take care of our clients and patients. I also like helping others learn and grow – so I’m always willing to talk about ways. Interesting facts: I am the mother to 2 super-amazing children. I love to read and to continuously learn. I focus on self-improvement. I love Yoga and like(?) to run. Nature is my happy place. I also love to travel. My desire to be a veterinarian when I was just 5 years old. If I wasn't so darned good at my job, I'd probably be..... Well, not seeing patients is hard. I would be back in the exam rooms – focusing on rehab, diet, and alternative methods of preventive care for dogs and cats. Outside of the profession - I would be a wildlife photographer traveling the world. If I were a superhero, my superpower would be.... To not have to sleep, I’d get so much more done! If I were an animal, I would be a.... A unicorn – I could fly, I’d be magical, I’d still be a vegetarian, and I’d poop rainbows. What is your favorite ACOC core value and why? I can’t pick just one – especially since these are so much a part of Tom and I and our practice’s vision/purpose. If I were to pick the one that I work the most on – it would be growth. Ask my team – I never stop looking for ways to grow both individually and as a team. Once you know better, you do better (Thanks Maya Angelou). Return to Our Team |
