International Health Certificates & Hawaii Travel Services
At The Animal Clinic of Chardon, we are proud to offer International Health Certificates and Hawaii Travel Pass services for your pet. Whether you’re planning an overseas adventure or a trip to Hawaii, we’re here to help you navigate the travel process with confidence and care.
Planning international travel with your pet requires specialized health documentation to meet destination-specific rules. Because regulations vary widely and change often, we recommend contacting us as soon as you know your travel destination and approximate departure date. Our USDA-accredited veterinarian, Dr. Carolyn Askew, handles all international health certificates and pet travel guidance.
Start the Process:
Our first step is to schedule a 30-minute phone consultation with Dr. Askew. There is a lot of expertise and attention to detail involved in making sure everything is done correctly and within the required timelines. The consultation fee is due at the time of scheduling, and we’ll ask you to complete the appropriate JotForm (see the list below) before your appointment, so she has the information needed to prepare.
During the consultation, Dr. Askew will review your travel plans, determine the requirements for your pet, discuss the process and timeline, review USDA requirements, and discuss any additional testing required. She will also provide a more accurate estimate of the anticipated fees. At that point, if you wish to move forward with the process, we’ll collect a deposit equal to 50% of the estimated fees.
