Dog Exam Normals
Heart / Lungs:
Palpation of precordium and femoral pulses reveals a regular sinus rhythm and synchronous pulses of appropriate intensity. Auscultation of heart reveals a sinus rhythm or respiratory arrhythmia appropriate for age, species, and level of athleticism. All four heart chambers auscultate normally and are free of murmurs, clicks, or gallops. Owners do not report sustained resting respiratory rates above 30 breaths / minute at home. Respiratory effort is normal for a pet in the veterinary clinic setting. Auscultation of lung fields reveals normal airflow without dullness, crackles, rales, stridor, etc. There is no reported or observed coughing or dyspnea.
